Narration During Books Redemption (The Captive #5)
A year has passed since the war against Jack’s father that freed the humans from their roles as blood slaves and servants to the vampire race. Having left the palace behind in order to ensure that the outer towns are obeying the new laws, Jack struggles to come to terms with the grief and haunting memories that drove him from the palace in the first place. He’s content to lose himself in the outer lands and the obscurity that they offer him. That is, until he encounters Hannah.Growing up in the small town of Chippman, Hannah had long ago accepted the fact that she would never leave it. When Jack walks into her life, and turns it upside down, she quickly realizes that not everything is what she’d believed it to be. Knowing that Jack will reject her if he learns the truth about her, Hannah struggles to fight her growing attraction to him. For though the town of Chippman seems normal on the outside, its residents harbor secrets that they’ve taken great pains to keep hidden. Secrets that have forced the town to live under the rule of the one man that could tear Jack and Hannah apart forever.

Yup I loved Jack's story now on to Willam's!Jacks back, baby! Thats right! After four books of being truly awesome supporting his big brother, Braith, Jack is back as the hero of his very own book, and its fantastic!I love The Captive series! (The first book - Captured - is free on Amazon... GET IT NOW!). It completely took me by surprise when I discovered it last year, and I devoured the books back to back in an absolute whirlwind. I took the opportunity to do a reread of the whole series before I started this, which I recommend if you
Jack's story! And more Aria and Braith... love it!So Jack and William are on a mission to stay away from home as much as possible due to the events that took place in Book 4... and while in a small town checking up on things (so hard to be vague and not spoil things), Jack meets Hannah. Hannah is strong and independent, but she has her own issues. She calls herself an "undesirable" due to a flaw to her vampire self. The relationship that ensues basically helps both of them deal with their own
I would actually give this final book in a series of 5, 3 1/2 stars, if I could. Organizationally, this book was better put together than the last one, which was really the grand finale of Braith's and Aria's story. This one focuses on Braith's brother, Jack, and his romantic interest. It is also a fairly decent follow-up of what happens to the characters after the war is won. I like that the author thought of an outpost where "Undesirables" (vampires with flaws) lived. I can see the author's
By far the best book yet! Dont get me wrong, I adored Braith and Aria (still do), but the plot, development, dialoguethe everythingthe writing style has gone through such an evolution that its mind blowing. The plot:I had to force myself to put down my Kindle at 1:00 a.m. I nearly murdered my family because they wouldnt let me read. I couldnt stop thinking about this book no matter what I was doing. The plot grabbed me by the throat and dragged me through without a seconds rest. The squee moments
Simply amazing!I had read the first four books in the series and loved them. When I saw this book not being about Aria and Braith I didn't really want to read it, because I had grown to love their stories. I'm glad I finally got to read Jack's story! The details that were given made me feel apart of the story, like I was actually there! I could not put the book down. When Aria screamed when William died, I felt the pain and the sorrow she felt. The writing brought everything to life and I felt
This was very good, but I don't know if it is quite a 5...I think more of a 4-4.5. It took longer than I would have liked to get into it and because of the pace, writing and a little bit because if Hannah I wouldn't give it a 5I loved Jack's character but I wasn't a huge fan of Hannah. She was fine and nice enough, but I really disliked the way she handled the Calvin situation. She just vacillated too much from strong to helpless, focused too much on sacrificing her self-worth to keep others
