Criticize Out Of Books xxxHolic, Vol. 8 (xxxHOLiC #8)
The right-eye stolen by an itsy bitsy spider arc continues! This time with more danger, a kidnapping has taken place. The Zashiki-warashi has been capture, oh my. While I am not a fan of her guardians, I saw another side to them this time. We also finally learn what Domeki sees when he is near Yuuko's home, and while I knew it already it was still a stunning page to see. Watanuki learns a lesson in this one, one that he should learn, and I hope that he will remember this lesson for his life. I

Yay!!! Another good volume!! Now that it seems the story is having somewhat of a purpose (mostly around Watanuki's character development), I'm far more into the storyline. I gobbled this volume up in one day. I really hope it continues on this path, because I'm really enjoying it!!Also... ♥ Domeki-kun ♥

Overall Rating: A-Synopsis: xxxHolic by Clamp follows Watanuki, an orphan who is plagued by spirits. While being chased by spirits, Watanuki runs into a strange shop and meets a strange woman named Yūko. She turns out to be a powerful witch, and makes a deal with Watanuki to help him remove his "curse" in exchange for working in her shop and cooking for her. Hijinks and adventure ensue.I can't remember now why I picked up the first volume of xxxHolic, but I'm glad I did. The series starts off

Watanukis lost eye attracts some sinster interest from supernatural denizens of the occult world. The Zashiki-Warashi gets captured by one of those denizens, trying to get Watanukis eye back. Its up to Watanuki and the pipe fox spirit, using the tools provided by Yuko and the Tengu to rescue the Zashiki-Warashi, while its up to Dômeki to do something about Watanukis lost eye. One of the most interesting characters yet appeared in this volume, offering truths unacceptable to most people. The

Another solid entry in the series, although it lost steam about halfway through. The first half was really interesting, picking up from where the previous volume left off with Kimihiro's eye problems still being unresolved, but the second half felt a bit more like filler.

I've recently been reading this series online, so I'm not cheating when I add four volumes of it. Somehow the chapters on the site are screwed up, so I'm not exactly sure which volume I'm on half the time, but judging from the description, I'm on this one. This series has everything I like in a series; supernatural elements, deep characters, and humor. The main cast consists of Watanuki, a teenager who can see spirits, Doumeki, one who can exorcise sprits, Yuuko, Watanuki's "boss", and Himawari,
