Crit Of Books The Coffin Club (Vampire Kisses #5)
And Alexander is gone again... at least this time we know where he went. Its finally summer break for Raven and the only thing she has on her mind is spending her nights with her sexy vampire boyfriend; the only problem is that her sexy vampire boyfriend went to Hipsterville to return Valentine to his siblings. So Raven does what any normal Gothic teenager in love would, visit her Aunt Libby in Hipsterville and surprise her boyfriend. Her summer of dancing the night away at The Coffin Club with

I love this book and the ending of it was shocking. I can belive that Phoenix is Alexander it was suprising but understandable because he wanted to stop Jagger without breaking the treaty. I love Raven character but her curiosity get her in trouble but am glad that Alexander also manages to protect her.

This was probably the worst book Ive read this year, which is a real disappointment because Ive heard that its really popular with teen vampire fans and I was thinking of purchasing the series for our YA collection here at the library. The dialogue is stifling, the writing is filled with clichés, and the teen heroine Raven is just plain dumb. I know that teens are often impulsive, risk takers, but Raven puts the hardiest X-game athletes to shame with the hazards in which she becomes involved.

Just a warning: this review begins somewhat harsh, but becomes nicer. I promise. The Vampire Kisses series happens to be a series that I have kept reading mostly because I keep receiving review copies. Otherwise, I would have stopped after the first novel. The impressions of the first novel stayed with me for quite awhile, and I believe for valid reasons. My two main issues were Raven as a goth and Ravens relationship with Alexander. As both of those are central to the books, it did cause quite a

4 StarsThe Vampire Kisses series is a great young adult series of books full of paranormal and supernatural elements, teenage drama, angst, and spooky fun. While I love a great vampire story, this series is definitely aimed towards a much younger audience. I did however enjoy following Raven on her adventures- meeting Alexander and the rest of the quirky cast. I ended up reading this series as a buddy read with a 15-year-old girl. It was great to get her perspective on the books, and to see them

The Coffin Club is the fifth installment in the Vampire Kisses series. While this book was good, I didnt like it nearly as much as the first four books in the series. The Coffin Club felt like a filler book for the middle of the series. While we learned some important information, most of it seemed like things like the reader could have lived without knowing. The plot didnt bring any new problems left unresolved for the next book. All of the problems were over with by the end of the book. A
