A Problem With the Moon: (book 3) Fisher and his dad adopt an oddball alien named Robert. It turns out that Robert is an essential part of a plan to save Earth and bring humans into a global community.

I have always advocated about special needs being more about different needs. They aren't disabled but just differently abled and this book is a fine example of that.Lots of kids with Autism struggle with verbal communication and it's our loss as we are kept away from their differently viewed perspectives. The book takes us onto a journey of one through the stories.From the first page itself it's evident that the writing style might not please many but it's all about the description.Some of theFisher's Autism Trilogy is a charming and heart-warming collection of tales, centred around Fisher and his friends. Fisher has autism and finds it hard to communicate: his father Paul has been his sole carer for many years. In the first book we learn about his autism, how it affects him and about his life. However, Fisher has regular visits from a strange being called Michael, who tells him that he has special powers, as do other young people with special needs. Fisher learns to harness these
Fisher's Autism Trilogy gave me great insight into the mind of a person living with Autism. I am a Special Education teacher who has worked with many children on the spectrum. This book helped me to understand what goes on in the minds of my students. I would suggest this book for anyone who works with students with Autism or people who just want a better understanding of the disorder.

I read Paul C. Nelson's Saving Worms After the Rain prior to reading this trilogy and found these books to not be as good. Once again, I loved Nelson's personal insight into autism. I enjoyed the main character, Fisher, and his relationships with his peers and his father. I also enjoyed the good versus evil messages portrayed in multiple forms that did not specifically promote any specific religion just the importance of kindness, compassion towards all. The storylines in especially the 3rd book
I enjoyed the first book because it gave me an insight into an autistic kid's mind. The books are a little political. Thankfully, it's a view I happen to agree with.The second book, I found more difficult to want to pick up and read than the first. It's definitely a young adult book written and truly meant for kids. Also political, just parts.Since the second book felt like it was truly for a young audience, I didn't even bother to read #3.
This beautiful story about acceptance and differences really pulls at your heartstrings. It is great for any high school classroom library or just to have accessible for teenagers. Inspired by a true father-son relationship, Fisher uses his differences to win evil.
